Mark your calendars! Colorado Mountain Fest and our annual donor gala will be held over two epic weekends this coming fall: September 25-26th and October 1st.
The Colorado Mountain Fest is the Front Range’s premier mountain festival featuring top brands, professional athletes, outdoor sports clinics and classes, a rowdy vendor village, film fest and family friendly fun for all. Our Benefit Gala will be an elegant evening featuring keynote speaker and adaptive climber, Kevin Shields, where attendees can vie for a thrilling selection of trips, gear and blue chip auction items.
We’re looking for volunteers interested in helping out with one or both events! Are you innately an organizer or leader? Do you love the outdoors? Are you interested in learning a new sport or meeting new members of the adventure community? For any or all of this – we’d love to have you join our volunteer team!
OUTLINE OF RESPONSIBILITIES
Event volunteers may choose which event, or both, to assist with set-up/strike, silent and live auction facilitation, guest assistance and registration or clean up. Volunteers may also choose to be involved in the event planning as an Event Coordinator for more immersive participation.
Event day volunteers will typically be asked to commit at least one full day per event, 6-8 hours. Participation as an Event Coordinator typically requires 3-5 hours a week over the several months leading up to the event, plus day of execution.
Depending on which event, volunteers may be able to attend free of charge or at a reduced price. All volunteers will receive event swag, and recognition in the monthly Rucksack newsletter. Event volunteers will also have the opportunity to learn new skills from experts, meet other likeminded outdoor enthusiasts in the community; all while supporting the CMC’s mission of education, conservation and exploration of Colorado’s spectacular open spaces.
